We were approached by a local engineering company in Netherton, Dudley, West Midlands to help them with an issue they had within their production and despatch department. When they opened the existing doors the prevailing wind blew dust into the factory and contaminated both the recently completed work and also the work in progress. They approached us in November during a cold spell of weather which also highlighted the need to try and reduce the heat loss through the same openings.
To solve this issue we installed some heavy duty pvc stripflex curtains with necessary supporting steelwork frames. These were also fixed at the head of the apertures to support the new pvc plastic curtains. At each end of the curtains we installed red flag strips to highlight the aperture parameters to ensure safe passage through the curtains and highlight possible impact zones.
As a result of our intervention the customer has reported back stating the contamination of products had been almost reduced to zero and the loss of heat reduction was noticeable immediately.
